I joined Pinterest when it was still finding its footing and stayed through explosive growth, from millions to hundreds of millions of users.
I started as an IC, designing the messaging experience and leading redesigns across mobile and web. But my biggest impact came when I spearheaded BRIO, Pinterest's first real design system. I built and led the team behind it, establishing the infrastructure that let design scale across the company. I also opened and ran our Portland office, a small product group of engineers, PMs, and designers shipping across multiple projects.
Some of my favorite work was developing the designers on my team. Many went on to leadership roles at other companies, and that's a kind of impact that compounds.
